Triglav National Park and Soca Valley

Departure to the skiing centre of Kranjska Gora from where we will start climbing the Julian Alps on the meandering road that was built by the World War I prisoners of war. When we arrive at the Vršič Pass, we will have reached the altitude of 1,611 metres above the sea level. On that way you can visit the Russian Chapel, a monument dedicated to imprisoned Russian soldiers who lost their lives to an avalanche while building that road.

We will continue by descending to the beautiful valley of the Soča (Isonzo) river. We will visit Bovec, a superb place of sports with virtually endless offer of activities.

You may dedicate a part of the day to do rafting on the emerald colour or continues to Kobarid, strategically important place during the Battles of Isonzo. There is also an excellent museum dedicated to the World War I.  We will return to the road and make a short stop to visit the Kozjak waterfall.
