There is also a beautiful medieval castle that we are going to visit. We will reach it with a short funicular ride.
From there you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city and the surrounding nature. We will see the old town with its medieval and baroque parts and the most important sights, such as Prešeren Square, Robba Fountain, City Hall, Dragon Bridge and the Cathedral. Walking along the banks of Ljubljanica river, we will reach the Congress Square (Kongresni trg) where we will see the exterior of the University and Slovenian Philharmonic buildings. We will continue our walk to the French Revolution Square and to the Roman wall.

Optionally you may visit the lake island with the traditional boat Pletna and climb the 99 stone steps to reach the Baroque style Church of the Assumption of Mary. There you can also ring the “wishing bell”. The visit of the Bled Castle will reward you with a marvellous panoramic view. This castle from the 12th century also houses the printing museum. It is also an important protocol site for meetings and weddings. We recommend tasting the famous local dessert, Bled cream cake called “kremšnita”.
