DAYS 1 and 2: DUBROVNIK

Arrival at one of the airports in the region. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in Dubrovnik. Breakfast. Guided tour of Dubrovnik, a city that has hardly changed since medieval times and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It was one of the smallest, but at the same time also one of the most important states in the Mediterranean that contributed to a very rich history of the city reflecting itself at every step.
You will be able to visit the Rector's Palace and the Franciscan Monastery with the oldest pharmacy in the world, as well as climb intact old town walls that provide an incredible journey of 1,940 meters around the city, which bears the title "Pearl of the Adriatic" and is like no other in the world. Accommodation in Dubrovnik.

DAY 3: KOTOR - BUDVA

Breakfast and departure to the beautiful country of Montenegro. The first stop will be in Kotor, a city located in one of the most beautiful bays of the Adriatic Sea. The city was part of the Republic of Venice when it reached the peak of its splendour. The medieval architecture and numerous historical monuments in the old town have led the city to become the part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will continue the trip to Budva, one of the most touristic cities of Montenegro, where we will visit its walled centre. Accommodation.

DAY 4: MEDJUGORJE - MOSTAR

After breakfast we will get acquainted with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first visit will be to the Medjugorje pilgrimage centre, which became famous due to the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1981. Free time. Along the way we will make a photo stop in the small, yet beautiful medieval village Počitelj. We will continue our journey towards Mostar to discover this interesting city. We will see Stari Most, a majestic stone bridge between medieval towers, magnificently reconstructed to once again become a symbol of the cultural and ethnic identity of the Bosnians. Free time to stroll along the lively Kujundžiluk Street, to visit different shops, cafes and to see the house of Muslibegović, one of the best preserved buildings of the Ottoman heritage. Onward journey to Sarajevo and lodging.

DAY 5: SARAJEVO

Breakfast. Sarajevo is the capital and the biggest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will then continue to the historic centre along the Miljacka river. We will visit the place where in 1914 Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince. We will continue to the picturesque old town, called Baščaršija, and its surroundings where we will witness the cultural fusion of four religions.  We will see the exterior of the Catholic Cathedral and the Orthodox Church from the late nineteenth century. Not far away is the synagogue of the Sepharadians, Jews, who were expelled from Spain and then settled there. We will visit the Museum of the Jews. Finally, we will enter the courtyard of the Gazi Husrev-Beg Mosque, one of the most beautiful monuments of Ottoman architecture in the Balkans. Don’t leave Sarajevo without tasting the typical food of the region: čevapčići and burek, and then have a delicious Bosnian coffee, served in typical coffee pots. Accommodation in Sarajevo.

DAY 6: SARAJEVO - SPLIT

Breakfast. We will start the day in the outskirts of the city, where we will visit the famous Sarajevo tunnel, built in 1993 during the siege of the city in the Balkan war.

Then we departure to Split, during the journey we wil see different landscapes of Bosnia. On the way we will stop to have lunch and taste typical food. Accommodation in Split.

DAY 7 and 8:  SPLIT

Breakfast. Guided visit of Split, the second largest city in Croatia. When in year 305 the Roman emperor Diocletian, who then had almost the whole world under his rule, had to decide where to build his country villa to spend the rest of his life there, he had no doubts where that should be: in this special place of the Adriatic.

The old town is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You may want to (optionally) enter the cellars of Diocletian's Palace that originally served as his retirement home. You will see the exterior of the Temple of Jupiter as well as of the Cathedral of Saint Domnius (locally called Duje), which was, by the ironic game of fate, previously the mausoleum of the last great persecutor of Christians. Free time for enjoying this exceptional place on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. The last day will begin with the breakfast and, depending on the time of the return flight, there will be free time until the transfer to the airport for the return flight. End of the trip.
